Together with my co-author Marcel, we participated at the annual meeting of the 2019 American Political Science Association in Washington D.C., USA. This is one among the biggest conferences for political scientists and was therefore an amazing opportunity for us: We presented our paper in form of a poster, joined numerous interesting panels and met some of the most important people in the IPE.
In our paper that has been aligned to the Methodology section, we have shown a strategic interaction of donor countries that allocate their aid partially as a reaction to other donors. Having tested this hypothesis in a spatial weighted panel lag analysis is a unique and new way to explain dysfunctionalities in the Foreign Aid allocation.
